County wide effort unites Alton churches for Palm Sunday observances with each church running its own program. Death of Young Chapman After School Grounds Injury
Orland Chapman, aged 9, died Sunday at 4 Teen Hospital from complications after an injury received on school grounds while playing with a group of comrades weeks earlier. Born December 22, 1907, in Colertown Tecombir, he lived with his parents nine years. Survived by a sister and two brothers, funeral at Metherths Episcopal Church officiated by Rev. Matt W. Duffey, burial in Rivetelde Cemetery.
