The Science Club hosts Dr George Grant MacCurdy of Yale in Alma for a free March 1 lecture on ancient art and environment. Topics include Piltdown remains, San Isidro valley finds, cave art in France and Spain, Pyrenean paleolithic art, and the connection between art and magic with lantern slides in color.
Dr George Grant MacCurdy of Yale University is a renowned anthropologist. Educated at Warrensburg State Normal School Harvard Berlin Vienna Paris Yale awarded a PhD in 1905. He has held roles as instructor curator lecturer and assistant professor of Anthropology at Yale since 1918. He is a member of the Anthropological Association of Paris Berlin and Brussels National Geographic Society Connecticut Academy of Arts and Science.

The mothers of Alma College Kindergarten children organize a Mother's Club for practical child welfare study. All Alma mothers are invited to join. Unless noted, meetings will be at 2:00 p.m. on the last Friday of each month in the college kindergarten room. Members seek broad motherly cooperation.
Alma music lovers enjoyed a Faculty of the School of Music recital in the college chapel last Friday. Miss Roberts and Theo Ams played piano, with Mr A L Barton Miss Fuller Prof Veateh and Mr Andersen in songs. Glenn Y Warner of the English Speaking department made a pleasing first Alma appearance.
