The Alma Chamber of Commerce annual meeting at Alma High School elected six new directors Glen Crisp R B Wagner W S Proud Rev W L Gelston Joseph Winslow and Floyd Maxwell to the board to replace retiring members. H Babcock of The Record was chosen president with Ralph B Wagner as vice president and Glen Crisp as treasurer. Morenci School Teacher Harold Pasoner Dies at Tuesday
Word reached Wednesday of the death of Harold Pasoner beloved by the Morenci school community. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Morenci with Amber of teachers from the Alina schools attending.

Winghel Dies After Brief Illness at 75
H J Winghel, longtime resident of this city, died Monday at age 75 after a few weeks of illness. A former station agent and telegraph operator at Grand Trunk, G R & L and Pere Marquette, he spent 44 years with the latter line. In recent years he served as librarian at the Alain Puolo Library, aiding youths with literature. Born in LaPorte Indiana September 20 1860, he married Julia B Clifford. Surviving are his wife son Walter H Winghel of Chicago a brother Alonney Winchell of St Louis and a sister Arvida Novi Michigan. Funeral services were held at his home 214 West Center Street with Rev Andersen and Rev M W Daley officiating. Burial followed at Lakeview.
