Butter test records set for Sumner Holstein heifers

Jas Gargett of Sumner township reports a record set by two four year old registered Holstein heifers. Details show milk and butter outputs over 7 and 14 day tests, including Seis Mercedis Picterzes Krondyke and Honntje Mercedes Korndyke. The herd, sire King Korndyke Ladie Vale 25th, links to Mable Segis Korndyke, Junior 4 year old world champion.

Mother and Child Seek Shelter From Cold

A ragged mother and her eight year old daughter Gustie walked from Alma to the home of Mrs. Edward McLain three miles south of town seeking food and shelter from severe winter weather. The mother, about fifty, is described as worn and poor with little to no means, while Gustie appeared bright and well behaved. The child has been kept by Mrs. McLain for several days and a suitable home is being sought. the mother was later taken to the county home at Ithaca.

Release From Nine Dollar Judgment in U S Court

James G. Kress, attorney for John M. Montigel, secured a settlement with the United States to release Montigel from a large judgment. An order in the Western District of Michigan discharged all previously issued levies on his real estate after a compromise requiring 2108 dollars. The long litigation ends with praise for Kress and Montigel for the settlement.

Zeta Sigma Hold Their Annual Stag Banquet

Zeta Sigma hosted its annual Washing ton's birthday stag banquet at the Wright House with the full company in jovial mood. A large Zeta Sigma banner and simple decorations set a festive tone as Edelers orchestra played lively tunes. To theasts and song, then the gathering broke up with warm memories of Good Fellowship. Rudi Beyers sent telegrams and A Wright sent a letter of greeting and encouragement.
