Mother and Child Seek Shelter From Cold
A ragged mother and her eight year old daughter Gustie walked from Alma to the home of Mrs. Edward McLain three miles south of town seeking food and shelter from severe winter weather. The mother, about fifty, is described as worn and poor with little to no means, while Gustie appeared bright and well behaved. The child has been kept by Mrs. McLain for several days and a suitable home is being sought. the mother was later taken to the county home at Ithaca.

Zeta Sigma hosted its annual Washing ton's birthday stag banquet at the Wright House with the full company in jovial mood.
