A 1004 dinner by five Modern Woodmen in uniform preceded an afternoon session led by Mrs. Pat Stoddard. Lakeview and Alma teams conferred degrees. Mrs. Alfe C. The rear room kept a kerosene lamp burning when flames spread to combustible materials. Estimated damage is about 3000 dollars with 2000 dollars of insurance. Two Drunken in City Court Held Over
The city courts dealt with drunkenness and disorder last week. West Atkins was jailed for being drunk and disorderly, fined and jailed, then attempted to injure an officer. Edwin S Hyde, longtime Arcada Township resident and former Alma Elevator Company worker, died at his home last Saturday evening at age 73. He leaves a wife, five children and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday with burial at Riverdale Cemetery.

Alma Man Dies Instantly In Farm Sawing Accident
Charles Davidson, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Davidson, was killed Tuesday morning while sawing lumber on the Windsor farm near Alma. A cast iron broke, sending a piece into the saw, severing his left arm and body as the machine revolved. He died instantly. his body was moved to Crandal and Scott undertakers for burial preparations. He was unmarried and resided with his parents on the farm four miles north of Alma.
