Noah Homer Dibble, oldest Mason in Michigan and possibly the nation, died at the Masonic Home in Alma after a long seafaring life. Born in Perry New York about 182? he sailed 51 years, built the Tubal Cain, served as Erie gun pilot in 1846, and lived on a Missouri farm before joining the Alma home six years ago. Survived by his wife Eliza E Bemis. burial in Elmwood Cemetery followed a Union Lodge service.

Automobiles and Train Crash Fatalities Reported
Two separate fatal accidents occurred last Sunday and Tuesday. Gurd Pushing died after his car was struck by a freight train near the G T A R tracks as he returned from church to fetch gasoline. His skull and arm were broken. he lived about an hour. At Hale's Crossing near Greenville a car carrying Mrs C C Merritt Mrs Roy M Beardslee and a young son June was instantly killed when their vehicle collided with a train on the Grand Rapids line.
