Health Department to Inspect Michigan Resorts tour
Lansing June 22 final preparations are underway for an open inspection tour of Michigan summer resorts by the state health department. A laboratory truck will travel from Mackinaw south along the eastern shore classifying resorts as excellent to unsafe. Reports and classifications will be published after the tour. In 1921 officials found food and milk control gaps and pollution, and warned proprietors to improve conditions. Laboratory examinations are free. The same issue promotes the John Robinson Circus arriving in town with performances at 2 and 8 p.m. and tickets available at Murphy's Drug Store for the same prices as at the grounds.
