Pennsylvania to Demonstrate Pest Control in Fruit Trees
Dr A H Surface Pennsylvania's zoologist says four week program begins May 1 to show methods for controlling codling moth and other pests. Demonstrations run in twenty counties first week, thirty five second week, northern counties third week with multiple meetings to reach orchardists. The aim is to reduce wasteful fruit from ten to two percent through scientific practice.

Musical Program at Miss Cheeseman Home

June 13 Eliza Post widow of Richard Post signs with city representatives to donate 2000 dollars for a vault at Riverside cemetery in Alma. The structure will hold two coffin receptacles with Post and her husband interred there. The vault will be maintained by the city and opened from front and rear on the second floor. Twenty Fifth Commencement Exercises at College Chapel
On Thursday June 18 the College Chapel hosted the twenty-fifth commencement with the senior class marching at ten in the forenoon to a filled auditorium. The Junior class decorated the stage with columns vines ferns and flowers. The program opened with an overture by four performers followed by prayer and a choral rendering, then essays and an oration drew wide applause. Degrees were conferred and Dr Bruske delivered remarks of special interest.
