East Alma baby show set at Eastminster chapel
The second annual East Alma baby show will be held at Eastminster chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Under the Parents club, the event will feature a 2:00 PM Wednesday program with a speech from a Michigan State Board of Health representative, a medical director’s report, music, and prize distribution. Eligibility is limited to babies aged one to thirty six months from Grover and Bridge streets eastward. Dalrymple death leaves large family in Alma area
Mrs Sylvester Dalrymple aged 78 died at her home near Alma on Saturday. Olive A Barnes born September 10 184? in Ionia county married Sylvester Dalrymple in June. They had twelve children two died in infancy and Reuben died two years ago. Surviving are William Allen and Frank of Lansing Clarence of Saginaw Lucy of Nebraska Steele of Ionia Olive of Emerson Bert of Arcada and Arthur at home. One aged husband and thirty eight grandchildren survive.

Alma Woman Struck By Car In Speeding Incident
Misa Laura Ludwig 22, living between St. Louis and Breckenridge, was injured early Tuesday in Alma when struck by a speeding car. Albert L. Andrews was arrested for reckless driving after the incident. Ludwig was taken to a local hospital with injuries not as bad as feared, and city officials pledged action on safer parking and crossings.

Died Friday Thomas Fitzgerald Pioneer Farmer of Alma Area
Thomas Fitzgerald a wealthy Gratiot county farmer died at his Alma home Thursday night aged 77. Born in Toblin Ireland in 1848 he came to the United States in 1865 with his mother after his father had preceded them. He survived by six sisters and one brother and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday with Rev. Craffey officiating and interment at an area cemetery. Father, mother and brother had previously died. Fitzgerald lived much of his life on the Alma farm and was known for his friendly nature and generosity.
