Knights of Pythias Banquet Delights Members and Guests

Last Thursday evening the Knights of Pythias held their annual banquet for the Pythian Sisters. After the lodge meeting, both groups entered the banquet room to a floral table and ample refreshments. The ladies provided music as the Knights sang, followed by dancing until a late hour.

June Wedding Noted for Miss Latimer and Dell Herrick

A Detroit bride Miss Helen Latimer and Northville groom Dell Herrick wed Monday June 7 at eight with a Lohengrin procession. The ceremony featured a white arbor, a ring service, and nieces and nephews participating. Out-of-town guests and a large gathering attended, followed by a funeral service for veterans and a Memorial Day observance at Riversite Cemetery with remarks and refreshments.

Alma College Graduation Condenses Athletic Honors

At the final chapel of the year Alma College awarded athletic letters to basketball track tennis and baseball teams. Roy Campbell of Knox College assisted in presenting letters to captains and players including Simonton Worl Goerrich Pononek Hyde Suku Stimpson Dancer French Te Pon With Steegle and others while a memory program recited mythic excerpts and a Pygmalion scene. The Conservatory of Music issued graduation recitals by Miss Mary Rose and Mr Bope Butler, with a strong faculty show. The Alma mission evolved into an independent parish from 1890s into 1900s under rectors including J. Weatherdan, C. Carey, H. B. Jefferson, J. H. Eichbaum, C. L. Ramsay, and E. E. Williams.
