Foul Play Suspected In Gasoline Car Crash At Alma
At least four men were seriously injured when a Pere Marquette gasoline car left the track near Superior street crossing early Wednesday. Ten occupants were thrown along the track. Ova Keep near death, others badly injured. Foul play suspected as stones had been removed recently and the car had passed the spot minutes earlier without trouble. Victims rushed to Brainerd Hospital and Dr Gardner. one boy, Stanley Knudsen, operated on for gangrenous appendicitis nearby, but his condition improved overnight.

Graduation marks second annual School of Methods
The second annual School of Methods closed with graduation in Alma Presbyterian church. One hundred eighty one attended, with one hundred thirty eight earning certificates: seventy five Teacher Training and sixty three International Sunday School Association certificates. Sixty eight sessions were held, with Wright and Pioneer Halls used for classes and meals. Rev. George Trull delivered a sermon on The Dynamic of Jesus, and Dean Alfred Ray Atwood distributed certificates. A large choral concert and local faculty helped celebrate. The school moves to Alma for its permanent home, drawing attendees from nearby towns and states.
