The accident occurred around 4 to 5 AM as he headed for Saginaw en route to Port Huron. death attributed to the crash and vehicle damage noted were extensive. He leaves a wife and four children.

Bert Clow Held For Sumner Murder

The body of Clarence Gager of Sumner was found on A. E. Fowler’s doorsteps. A coroner’s inquest returned a verdict that Gager died from a stab wound inflicted by Bert Clow. Police and county officers investigated at the Fowler residence and barn, finding blood and blood-stained footwear on Clow. Clow, detained in the county jail, faced a murder examination scheduled for Tuesday. Gager, 22, had moved from North Dakota eight months earlier and worked for A. E. Fowler. Funeral services were held Sunday in New Haven township.

State Convention sets Detroit date and picks temporary chairman
