Well known Ithaca resident Mrs. Mary Gibbs died Monday afternoon July 12 at her daughter Mrs. B H Arnold home after a period of ill health in Elwell. She leaves two sons Jas P Gibbs and D C Gibbs both of Ithaca and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Mrs Arnold's residence with Rev R L McLain of the Ithaca Baptist Church officiating and interment followed in Ithaca.

Arrested for Horse Stealing in Ithaca Case
Ray Woodcock pleaded guilty in Ithaca on Tuesday to stealing a horse from Orson Brooks south of Alma. Prosecutor C. L. Smith seeks a twenty year sentence as this is his third or fourth offense. George Brown and Newell Bradford helped secure a full confession. Woodcock stole the horse July 14 and traded it in for money with others including Gene Johnson and Dolph Newcomb.
