Revival Meetings Close Strongly at Methodist Church
The two week revival series led by Rev. Thomas G. R. Brownlow and Rev. J. C. Leckie of Leamington, Canada concluded Sunday with two sermons on Peter and Lessons from the Sea. A volunteer choir and soloists enhanced the services. Twenty nine new members joined the church last Sunday and more are expected as the impact on attendees grows. E. L. Wood of Mecosta visited his daughter May, a nurse at Brainerd’s hospital, Monday.

The Clinton County Republican club will hold its annual banquet at St. Johns on Friday February 13. QUIKE BACTLETT DEAD Passed Away Monday Morning
Quike Bactlett died Monday morning at four o clock. The death was reported by his family and reflects a quiet, early hour passing. Funeral arrangements are pending with local services.
Susie Bartlett Died At Fourteen After Illness
Miss Susie Bartlett daughter of Mrs Clinton Nelson died at her mother's home on West Superior Street after a week with peritonitis. She was fourteen, in the high school freshman class and well liked. Funeral services were at the Baptist church conducted by Rev J W Priest and burial at Riverside Cemetery. Local church notes report revival meetings adding twenty nine united with the Methodist church bringing total new members to forty five. A reception is planned for next Sunday morning and a men's banquet was held with the church ladies serving in the IOOF hall. The Methodist motto is Help Everybody and Hinder Nobody.

Glenn Montigel eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Montigel of Alma died Tuesday January 20 after a long illness. Born February 6 1888 in Alma he lived here most of his life and was Alma High School class of 1900 graduate. Roy Phillips to Teach at Traverse City High School
