Spanish War Veteran John Kelly Dead at 50 in Ithaca
John Kelly died at age 50 from heart failure and was buried in Ithaca Saturday. A Spanish American War veteran, he served in the Philippines and Cuba and helped seize the Pekin Walls during the Boxer uprising. A former Ithaca resident, he had lived in Oaken, Maryland, for years.
