Alma Grain and Lumber Co boosts city lighting by installing about $4,000 worth of machinery including two new alternating current, three phase sixty cycle generators and fifty nitrogen filled arc lamps in the residence district. The Michigan Masonic State Home at Alma nears completion of a new infirmary built adjoining the main building. Costing about 25000, the brick structure features a classical facade, fireproof construction, modern ventilation, thermostat heating, electric lighting, and a capacity to care for thirty patients. Mrs. Etta White will head the infirmary with 86 residents overall and a staff of about twenty.
