On Thursday the county poor commission appointed Jerry Davis as superintendent of the poor farm by a 2 to 1 vote over Frank Pressey.

Runaway horse crashes into street front store injuring rider
On Movnday Inez a runaway harness horse attached to a buggy struck a light pole near Superior Street and Joe Scattengood's store. Brown was badly injured but is recovering while Hull escaped unhurt. The horse was unharmed except for harness damage.
