Royal King's Workers Enjoy Farm Party At Quintila
Last week Wednesday December 2 the King's Workers were entertained at Quintila the Ferris farm home three and a half miles west and north of town. The evening began at C. L. Delavan's store and sleigh rides followed to the hostess residence where forty two guests were welcomed. After games and an elaborate three course dinner the party returned to town describing the gathering as one of the most delightful in a long time.

Ann Arbor Railroad to run motor cars Toledo to Ann Arbor
A Detroit Journal dispatch reports the Ann Arbor railroad will electrify the Toledo to Ann Arbor line and soon operate motor cars with lower fares than steam trains. President Zimmerman and Vice President Lowell plan eastward travel next week to study eastern motor car systems and place orders. The move is seen as a strike against a rival electric railroad rushing to begin operation around October 1, 1910.

Supreme court voids township equalization appeal law

Edwin F Gee a well known Sumner township farmer departed Wednesday with a car load of household goods and a span of horses to settle in Centralia Washington after visiting Mt Vernon. He and his wife were bid farewell by many friends at a party at the Birton Goo home last Saturday night and gifts were exchanged as they prepare to start new life in Washington.

Fruit From Uneon warm Florida home attracts visitors
A letter from Mrs. W. Turek of Dunedin Florida describes fruit and flowers from their winter home vines. She notes reports of a freezing Florida disaster are partly true but this area suffered little damage oranges and other fruit trees remain uninjured. A box of fruit and a photo of their vine covered home are shared to illustrate the mild climate and contrast with harsher northern winters.

Ministerial Association Meets in Breckenridge
The Gratiot County Ministerial Association held its regular meeting in Breckenridge with representation from every protestant denomination in the county. A bountiful dinner was served at the hotel and the discussions and papers presented proved of great interest. The next meeting will be special at St Louis on a date to be named by the president, with the following regular session set for Wheeler in April.
