Well Known City Resident George S Young Dies at 1
George S. Young, a pioneer and longtime local political figure, died Friday at Brainerd hospital at age 1. He helped lead Alma when it was a village and built key structures including Alma City Hall and Wright Hall. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Masonic lodge with interment in Riverside cemetery.
