The George W. Myers post No 132 American Legion held 1920 officer installation at city hall. Colonel McCormick of Lansing spoke on World War I memorial service and past events. Lieutenant Gwindell Barden Dies From 1919 Air Crash
Lieutenant Gwindell Barden of St Louis Michigan died in Washington hospital from injuries suffered December 1 1919 in an airplane accident at Bolling Field. A member of the Aero Club of America he helped design the Liberty motor and served as a navy test pilot and Naval Aircraft Board of Acceptance member. Charlie Chaplin appears in unrelated note.
