Mrs Ellen Sharrar Dies After Prolonged Illness in City
Ellen Baker Sharrar, wife of Daniel L Sharrar, died at home after a long illness. Born in Rutland Vermont, she lived in Michigan before marrying in 1888 near Adrian and later moving to Gratiot County and finally the city. Survived by husband, four children, two brothers, a sister, and a son in Ithaca. Funeral Sunday with burial at Riverside. Arcadia Grange members voiced condolences and offered resolutions.

Miss Hamilton Injures Leg While Learning to Skate
Mrs Anna Hamilton broke a bone above her right ankle while skating Monday afternoon. The bone was set by Dr McClinton and she returned home to recover. It will be several weeks before she can go out again. The community extends sympathy for her misfortune and notes she has lived in Alma about two years and is well regarded.
