Cold Wave Drops Temps Across Town After Forecast
A lengthy wine weather spell ended as a cold wave struck Tuesday night. The forecast called for a 40 degree drop from Tuesday noon to Wednesday, a prediction that proved accurate. Temperatures fell from about 40 on Tuesday morning to near zero by Wednesday, with a biting wind making it feel colder. By Thursday the thermometer barely reached the scraw mark and wind lessened the chill.
