Accidents at sugar factory injure three workers
Over Friday and Saturday last week three men were badly hurt at the sugar factory. Harvey Carter, twenty five, Alma, single, was drawn into a centrifugal machine while cleaning with a hose, suffering multiple burns and a broken left arm. H. Turner, twenty five, Cleveland, single, fell from a ladder while repairing a trolley light, breaking his left arm. George McMullen, nineteen, North Adams, whose parents live in Hillsdale county, survived a hose incident with a broken arm and minor burns. Carter and Turner were treated and remained under care. McMullen was rescued with only arm injuries.

Christmas at the Sanitarium Opens Festive Celebration
The Sanitarium hosted a grand Christmas event with cedar décor, holly wreaths, a tall pine tree, and 100 candles. Colonel Parker delivered the opening address, gifts were distributed by Dr. Pettyjohn and Mr. Foley, and a band closed the evening with a military march.

Frightful Runaway Ends in Serious Injury North of Riverdale
Frank Scott, a farmer from north of Riverdale, suffered a severe skull fracture after his wagon was frightened by a locomotive near the Isabella county mill. He was thrown from the wagon, remained unconscious, and was taken to the hospital where doctors removed bone fragments. Scott, married with one child, lives about eight miles from Riverdale.
