The Alma Poultry and Pet Stock Association hosted a successful four day show last week with exhibitors from Clare, Ithaca, Howell, Casnovia, St Low A, and other towns. T. V. Fairburn of Howell displayed numerous birds and other animals while R. V. Otto scored exhibited stock. The Alma City Band performed, and sales of birds boosted interest, indicating the event will become an annual city highlights.

Death of William Hannah in Alma and Gratiot county
William Hannah born October 10 1827 in Lincoln county Ohio died December 8 1910 at Grand Rapids. He served as first lieutenant in the 16th Ohio Infantry and captain in the 97th Ohio Infantry, married twice to Carline Crane and Anna Crane, had nine siblings and several children. Remains brought to Alma for interment. Surviving relatives include Edward Hannah Flowea William Hannah Battle Creek and several daughters including Mrs. Spicer Detroit Mrs Chaffin Milwaukee and Mrs Stewart Saginaw. Pred Scott confined to home by sickness and known to have many friends in Alma and Gratiot county.

Brown Family Reunion Marks 36 Years Since Last Gathering
Last weekend the C. F Brown family celebrated the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Brown with a reunion the first time in 36 years. relatives from Otsego Orangeville Alto Williams ton Owosse and local Brown families joined about a score of relatives for a festive dinner at Mr. and Mrs. F Brown’s home. The afternoon featured music memories and stories of youth while Mesdames Flash and Wilson provided catering. The group expressed hope to reunite again on December 18 1946.

A Pioneer Gone Christean French of Gra Tiot County
Christean French longtime Gra Tiot County resident died December 14 at her son F E French home after a brief illness of chronic pneumonia. She married Hiram W French March 6, 1849. he died about 21 years ago. Survived by two sons F E French of Seville and Adelbert French of Marion along with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral held at Seville Center December 16 and she was laid to rest in snow with flowers.
