Second Regular Round Table Meeting Held In Alma

The Centre Michigan Round Table, a group of educators from central Michigan, held its second regular meeting at the Wright House last Friday evening with forty to fifty members present. Prof W H French of Michigan Agricultural College spoke on agricultural education in public schools, tracing its history from the Morris Acts of 1862 and noting the spread of agriculture courses from colleges to high schools and normal schools locally and nationally.

Poultry Show Opens With Broad Regional Entries

The first annual poultry and pet stock show opened Tuesday in this city, drawing hundreds of birds from Howell to Clare and Kent City to Saginaw. Gratiot display expected to contend for top premiums as Judge Otto scores entries. A midway attraction by Mr. Fairburn showcases a monkey, coyotes, mice, guinea fowl, guinea pigs, dogs and more. The exhibition runs daily until Friday evening when premiums are awarded.
