Junior Exhibition At Alma College Delights With Diverse Program
The Class of 1900s Junior Exhibition filled the Alma college chapel Tuesday evening with a broad program. Miss Blanche Woodward's piano piece impressed, J C Foote delivered an earnest oration on present day journalism, and Georgy A Hill spoke on why young men leave the farm. Miss Patterson sang with piano and violin accompaniment, Miss M W Plum spoke on Mohammedanism in Spain, and David Henry Magaw urged practical education. George B Randels analyzed Barney Burnato the Speculator, William L Steele traced almanacs as educators, and a Spanish song by Beckner closed the night. Dr Willard K Spencer of Adrian has accepted the Alma church call and will preach Sunday, bringing notable experience and leadership to the community.
