Johnson and Woodcock, both from Ithaca area, were arraigned before Justice Fraser and remanded to the county jail in default of $400 bail. A group of gypsies who had passed through Alma a year earlier returned Monday. City Marshal John Wright ordered them to leave within about two minutes after they settled near Swartsont's grocery. Wright and Convis then helped the group move on toward St. Louis.
