A car driven by Miss Edith Sowersby with J L Barden of Ithaca and Miss Austin aboard left a ditch on the McLaughlin hill near Alma. Miss Sowersby escaped serious harm, Mr Barden was bruised, but both survived with no broken bones. The machine was damaged but repairable and both parties received help from nearby farmers before being taken to Ithaca. The incident occurred while returning from Alma on Saturday morning.
