Edwin Rogers Dies in Detroit Auto Factory Asphyxiation
Edwin Rogers, born in Alma in 1886, had moved to Detroit in February for an auto factory job. He was found dead Sunday morning by inhaling fumes while asleep, with a coroner's verdict of accidental asphyxiation. Fred Rogers, barber in Wright House, traveled to Detroit to bring back Edwin’s remains for funeral services in Pine River township.
