What to Feed to the Babies in Michigan
Rural mothers lacking medical guidance are urged by the Michigan Tuberculosis Association to follow a tested feeding schedule. For nine months old babies, a routine includes breast feeding and cooked cereals, vegetables, fruit, and broth at specified times. At ten months the 10 pm feeding may end and milk may replace some feedings, with broader cereal and fruit options introduced after ten months. For one to two year olds, two daily meals combine cooked cereals, bread, fruit, boiled milk, vegetables, and starches, with varied vegetables and fruits available as listed.
