Death of Rev August F Bruske Alma College chief
Rev August F Bruske aged leader of Alma College for twenty one years died in Ypsilanti after a brief pneumonia illness. He entered Alma in 1891 and built the college from a weak institution to a respected Michigan Presbyterian college. Survived by wife a daughter Mrs James Davidson and son Pat Hale Bruske. Services conducted at his home with clergy from Alma College and Detroit praising his educational impact. Burial marker placed by Detroit Alma College Association and others.
