Report on College Finances Reveals Endowment and Strains
Secretary Cook’s General Education Board report values the college at 3608 208.44 with endowment of 400 812.26 and plant at 206 896.18. Income from non endowment sources was 40 222.64 last year, while running costs totaled 39 098.16 for the college department. Tuition cash would be 5484.08 but actually collected 4139.52, scholarships covering 1946.76. Working capital added 5 916.55 to bolster the endowment. Indebtedness rose by nine to ten thousand dollars. The staff includes 11 women and 14 men. 25 total. Ten year attendance sums to 1,238 students.
