Second sentencing yields same result for Orlando Torrez
Orlando Torrez, 24, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the second time in the 2003 Halloween party shooting death of 19 year old Danica Concha in Llano Quemado. A May 25 jury conviction in the Eighth Judicial District Court upheld the earlier life sentence after Torrez’s first conviction was overturned by the New Mexico Supreme Court due to prejudicial testimony by an investigator who was a gang expert.
