Equal childbirth leave for county workers
A memo from Onondaga County Law and Personnel states that both men and women may take unpaid leave for childbirth, with six months initial leave and up to twelve more with approval. The policy supports equal benefits under the Civil Rights Act, noting few men have taken leave and that pregnancy disability may justify use of sick leave with doctor verification.
