Oswego counties lead with 22 percent vacancies, while Madison sits at 1.9 percent. Oneida fares best with steady rates and minor population changes.
An 18 year old Liverpool woman Megan L McCormac died after a one car crash on a rural Oswego County road. The 1999 Ford Taurus left Oneida River Road in Schroeppel township and rolled over after hitting two trees. Three back seat passengers were injured and McCormac was thrown into the river. divers recovered her body about 40 feet from shore. Brinkerhoff 24 of Phoenix was driving and told police she swerved to avoid an animal. McCormac was pronounced dead at 2 08 am at Ful ton's Lee Memorial Hospital pending autopsy.
