A cold front ushers in cooler air after a record-like warm day in Central New York. Temperatures drop 10 to 20 degrees with a 35 to 40 degree low tonight. Skies clear, winds ease, and tomorrow should be pleasant with sunny, mild conditions and minimal rain chances, per National Weather Service at Hancock Airport.
A packed Staten Island ferry with a history of mishaps struck a Norwegian freighter just south of the Statue of Liberty in fog today injuring scores of commuters.
