All Night Long film review sinks on weak miscasting
A lengthy critique argues W D Richter’s screwball attempt at Shoppingtown I fails due to miscasting by Gene Hackman and Barbra Streisand and weak writing. The plot follows Dupler’s, Cheryl’s, and the family’s tangled desires amid corporate chaos, with limited humor and several unconvincing performances.

Cello shines in Everson recital with Gulabyan and Keene
SSO principal Eduard Gulabyan delivered a bravo cello recital at the Everson Museum with Christopher Keene at the piano. The program featured 18th century short pieces and Marais variations, praised for tone and musical line though a lack of substantial works noted. Keene’s Syracuse debut as pianist received solid but modest attention. The afternoon offered elegant moments and a desire for a fuller collaboration in future performances.
