Cazenovia College overstretched dorms as 100 applicants denied
Cazenovia College awaits fall housing for about 100 accepted students who cannot be housed on campus. Public relations director Mary Jane Donovan said the school overbooking was unintentional due to no application deadline and late applicants. The college can host 662 on campus, with 412 freshmen future residents and 250 sophomores returning. The village offers off campus housing as freshmen and sophomores except nonresidents must reside on campus, and those admitted late were told to find rooms themselves. Applications rose 36 percent this year to a school record.
