SCS Engineers examined trash from 50 random trucks and recycling loads to track changes in waste. The study shows more plastic containers and corrugated boxes, less glass and metal cans, with plastic recycling rising from 6.94% in 1993 to 10.4% in 1998 and paper remaining the largest waste component at 33 percent.
