Eighteen foot waves batter southern California coast
United Press International reports 18 foot waves pounded the southern California coast flooding streets and homes and ripping boats from moorings. The surf driven by a Pacific storm swept through Rosarito Beach Baja California and Imperial Beach Ocean Beach Oceanside Cardiff Sea area San Diego. No injuries reported though a 71 year old man on crutches was swept away but rescued.
