Wholesale food prices on the Dun and Bradstreet index fell 11 cents this week led by drops in butter cheese and cottonseed oil The index stood at 7 07 down from 7 18 over the prior three weeks and 6 57 a year ago The week saw eight price increases eight declines and 15 unchanged with advances in flour wheat corn rye cats hams eggs and hogs and declines in beef lard cheese cottonseed oil cocoa potatoes steers and butter The NYMEX butter drop marks its third straight day and a total weekly fall of about five and a half cents a pound.
