Carl W. Berry of Merom and Lee Jeffries of Hutsonville set a wheat scooping record on Frank Goodwin's farm northwest of Palestine, scooping 58 bushels in 4 1/4 minutes. Berry 21, Jeffries 28, timed with a watch. Berry also holds a gravel scooping record of 114 yards in five minutes.
