Fire Destroys County Coroner Barn in Shelburn
Fire destroyed the barn of County Coroner Charles E. Brewer in Shelburn shortly after 2 am Friday. Fire cause unknown. Dr. J. B. Maple discovered it too late to save two hearses valued at 1300 and 600 dollars plus other vehicles and equipment. Total loss about 2500 dollars with 1800 dollars insured on the hearses and 126 on the barn.

Nancy Pinkston Burton died Sunday at the home of her son H. H. Burton near Providence church Turman township. Born in Kentucky January 22 1822 she came to this country at eight. She married Greenberry Burton in 1841 and had eight sons and four daughters. Funeral Monday at her son's home conducted by Rev. J. H. McNaughton burial at Burton cemetery.

Mrs Salkey was found at her sister's home at the Reliance mine, arrested, and agreed to return home with her husband as the case was dismissed. Sunday evening Silvers had her arrested in Terre Haute on North Fourth street for causing his wife to form bad associations.

Raid at Bright Light Booms Bribery and Bottles
Police raided the Bright Light saloon near Riverton on a Saturday night arresting Tom White for operating a blind tiger. They found beer in the ice box and in outbuildings and barns, and White offered bribes of 25 then 50 dollars to avoid custody. White bonded for 250 dollars.
