Dr. A. M. Timmis, practicing dentistry in the city for about two years and a half, recently leased the south room of the Bays block. He previously sold a half interest in his old Davis block office to Dr. Harry Stratton. The move signals growth in his dental practice and an updated facility.
The article outlines an August 1 1907 post office order allowing mailing cards to carry messages on the front left third and addresses on the right, with ads and illustrations on the back. Joseph Hooper of Bicknell appeared before Judge Robertson in Vincennes on a wife desertion charge. He was fined 100 dollars and sentenced to six months in jail after authorities sent a warrant from Bicknell. The case drew out the family troubles and the judge aimed to set an example in this初 case.
Homer Shores 19, formerly of this place, died at his Paris Illinois home on Wednesday July 10 after a seven month illness from consumption. He was a Christian church member and Paris High School student before his health declined. Funeral was held in Paris July 12 and burial followed at Center Ridge cemetery in Sullivan.
