Pioneer Resident Anna Crowley Dies at 87 in Sullivan
Mrs. Anna Matilda Crowley, pioneer resident and widow of Dr. John Crowley, died last Tuesday night at her South Section Street home. She lived in Sullivan nearly 60 years, born in 1840 in Ireland, and buried at Center Ridge cemetery after funeral at her residence conducted by Rev. Charles I. Williams. Survived by two children, Elizabeth McClellan and Dr. Thomas N. Crowley.

Miss Margaret Helms a well known resident of Haddon township died Friday night at her home near Carlisle. She was about 65 and a native of the county. The death was due to paralysis. She leaves a brother Dan Helms of Haddon township and a sister Mrs Boone of Carlisle. She was a daughter of the late Dr H N Helms pioneer physician of the county.

Death comes suddenly to well known farmer
Reuben Bluford Robbins, a longtime farmer and native of the county, died shortly before ten o'clock Thursday from a stroke. He and his brother James Robbins had just left the barn when he collapsed. The funeral was held at Mt Calvary Saturday at ten. He leaves his widow and three brothers Fred Oscar and James Robbins.

Forge mother’s name passed bum check
Willard White age 49 is jailed on a charge of forging his mother’s name to a ten dollar check which was cashed by groceryman John Schuberth. White was arrested near Terre Haute after stepping from a Sullivan traction car as police were alerted by Chief Murray.
