A charity recital is announced for Friday December 7 at 8 pm at Cadwell Hall featuring performers including Miss Imo Thompson Mrs Cadwell the Royal Four Vanderbeek Verge and the Streabogg Quartet. Tickets are fifty cents with proceeds to general charitable baskets in Sullivan County. The program lists operatic arias light overtures and quartets from composers such as Donizetti and Schumann.
Farmers Union and Busseron Local call a December 15 gathering at the Brodie School House three miles east of Sullivan on Sullivan-Dugger road. Members and ex-members urged to attend for a basket dinner oyster feast and social event.

Durham president of the Sullivan County Farm Bureau Miss Mary Mann former president of Turman township unit and Oren Patton present chairman left today for Indianapolis to attend the state convention of the farm bureau. Mr and Mrs Sam McDonald of Busby Kansas former residents celebrated their golden wedding anniversary there. Mrs McDonald is sister of Mrs Jane Jones of this city and Mrs Jones attended the celebration.
Margaret A DeCamp born in Louisville Kentucky on April 5 1837 died November 24 1928 at the home of her daughter Louella Laughlin 809 Prairieton Avenue Terre Haute Ind She joined the Christian church in Louisville later moved to Middletown Indiana and remained a member until death She married Moses J DeCamp in 1859 with five children three survived S C DeCamp Louella Laughlin and Dora Bowen She leaves twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren plus many relatives and friends
An old fiddlers contest will be held at the Lyric theatre next Monday night under the auspices of the Uniform Bank and Knights of Pythias. Part of the proceeds will go to the Community Christmas tree.
