New Hope Farmers Plagued by Grasshoppers and Local Meetups
Grasshoppers invade fields as New Hope farmers combat pests with poison. A three day revival led by Rev. Lawrence Trott of Abilene closed Sunday. The New Hope Home Demonstration Club met Friday with Mrs. J. L. Herman hosting, with a Living Room Arrangement program and a lengthy roll call. Several local families and visitors were noted for weekend visits, dinners, and social events. One member, Mrs. T. Carmen, remained critically ill in Anson General Hospital.
