Merchants Seek Three Month Parking Meter Moratorium
A Stamford business delegation will ask the City Council for a three month halt on all parking meters Friday. The move followed a retail trade committee meeting at Stamford Cafeteria where Herman Cox was named new chairman and Pete Dobbyns named director in charge. Two Remain Hospitalized After Saturday Wreck North of Stamford
The Saturday highway accident near Sagerton Highway left three injured. Robbie Sue Culver and Eugene Loftis remain hospitalized at Stamford Sanitarium with severe facial and neck injuries and a neck injury respectively. Duck McNeil was dismissed Monday and George Loftis escaped injury. The 1953 Ford overturned after crossing the center line and entering a ditch about two miles from Stamford.

Charlie Anderson 84 of Lueders died Wednesday at 10 30 a m at the family home. Funeral services by Dr Hugo B Haterius will be Friday at 6 p m at Bethel Lutheran Church of which he was a member. Burial in the churchyard with Kinney Funeral Home in charge. He was a native of Sweden. His wife and daughter Mrs Adolph Olson of Lueders survive.

Company M, 142nd Infantry of Stamford sails Sunday for its ninth annual summer training with the 36th Division at Ft Hood. Commanded by Capt. James W.
