Rodeo Cancelled By Rains In Stamford
The Stamford Junior Sheriff's Posse sixth annual Junior Rodeo was canceled due to record-breaking rainfall from tropical storm Amelia. Events slated for Aug 3-5 were postponed after Thursday and Friday performances were washed out. Entrance fees for 206 entrants will be refunded within a week or two per secretaries Tena Pearson and Dianna Meuhlstein. The arena was too muddy and unsafe to ride, and no new show will be scheduled this year.
