Immense Hat Trade Prompts New Shipment Display

Difficult Teacher’s Exam Yields Few Certificates

The current month’s teachers’ examination is unusually hard with a small percentage of certificates issued. Washington county applicants compare well with neighboring counties, and many test takers plan to return in June. Some think the fire destroyed my undertaking establishment, but I remain locate over Hagan Bros. grocery with a full line of coffins and burial goods. Jno. Y. Mayes of New St Catharines is a noted scholar for young ladies, showcasing a handsome modern building. Commencement will be held in June in the commodious hall with three graduates. The St Catharine of Alexandria Literary Society hosted the Sisters and friends, featuring Tennyson’s In Memoriam, a commendable display by Sister Angelica’s class.

Three Indianapolis youths killed on Morristown bridge

Three teenagers Frank St John Orville Babb and Joseph Farchfield all from Indianapolis died when passenger train No 37 struck them on the Cincinnati Hamilton and Dayton railroad bridge over the Governor Blue river one mile below Morristown Indiana They had gone to Blue River Park for Sunday fishing and relatives later brought the bodies home to Indianapolis.
